Dead Wake
Browser Version Is Significantly Worse Than The Downloadable Version
Please Note:
The web build is significantly worse than the normal windows build. It lacks many of the post processing effects in the actual game, but retains the core gameplay mechanics.
The browser version does not use the forward + renderer, making the volumetric fog not render in.
All screenshots of the game were taken from the downloadable version.
Story
During a fishing trip, your boat's motor stops working, and you are left stranded in the middle of nowhere, though... you're not the only thing in the waters...
Use your trusty fishing rod to dredge up resources which could be used to fix your motor. Be careful, a giant eel will attack you out of nowhere, and the only way to scare it is to use your shotgun, though your ammunition is limited.
Don't worry, you brought a noise detector with you on your fishing trip. This device can be used to detect the monsters movements before it surfaces, giving you more time to react. This device has a limited charge though... and can be recharged via the boats inbuild charging station.
Will you be able to survive? Or will the eel take another victim?

Great game broski. The early development of the game had a few issues but it's doing pretty nice now. I would say as some feedback make sure that the menu and the objective of the game which is escaping is easier to find out and understand. Maybe you could put a list of the things you need to escape at the top left? Also please try to change up the design of the filters because they are indistinguishable but great game bro keep cooking :)
Thanks for trying out the game!
I am definitely going to make understanding the objective easier, I wanted a cutscene to originally play at the start, but I unfortunately ran out of time since this was a game jam entry. I definitely will update the models for the filters, I wanted to do this originally but I unfortunately ran out of time for this too:(
